BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE

Spring has sprung and the Beautification Committee is proposing to offer a plaque and gift certificate to encourage the beautification of our neighborhood. This includes the removal of weeds, trimming of overgrown plants and general neatness of the front yard only. This includes the removal of kitchen appliances and any broken furniture. All types of landscaping will be looked at and considered.

A member of the Garden Society or a local nursery will be the judge. The plaques and gift certificates will be awarded in June, July, August and September.

Should you require more information or are one of our neighborhood senior citizens and may need help please contact a member of the board for more information. Don’t let your neighbors outshine you.

June Winner “Beautiful Front Yard” contest.

We have our first winner of the Bear Canyon Neighborhood Association’s “Beautiful Front Yard” contest.

Mr. Troyer, who is a member of the Rose Society, chose Mr. & Mrs. Fuhrman’s front yard. He found that the Fuhraman’s front yard was very appealing and had excellent transition from one zone to the next. He also thought their walkway to the front door was very inviting.

Mr. & Mrs. Fuhrman were very surprised and pleased that their yard was chosen. Along with the honor of being, the first winner a sign was put in their front yard stating that they were June’s winner and they also received a Gift Certificate to Rowland’s Nursery complements of the Bear Canyon Neighborhood Association’s Beautification Committee.
